The Kinal Foundation, backed by the PPM‑Confirel group, is strengthening its social commitment by multiplying donations of medicines and food products for vulnerable populations, in coordination with leading figures of the Cambodian state.
On 19 February 2026, on the occasion of the visit of H.E. Hem Vandy, Minister of Industry, Science, Technology and Innovation, to Confirel and the PPM pharmaceutical laboratory, the Kinal Foundation handed over a substantial batch of health products and processed foods.
This donation included 1,470 bottles of PYRANTOX® 250 mg/5 ml insecticide, 1,200 boxes of “Kinal Family Medication” (combining four types of medicines for pain, diarrhoea, coughs and colds), 3,000 sachets of ginger root, 720 sachets of mango and banana rice cakes, and 450 portions of five‑flavour rice cakes.
According to the ministry, these products will be distributed to residents of Maung Russey district in Battambang province, illustrating the Kinal Foundation’s determination to provide quality pharmaceutical and food products, sourced from local companies, to meet the needs of the population.
In another expression of solidarity, Ms Sot Vannara, administrative officer representing Dr Hay Ly Eang, handed over 48 food parcels to Ms Say Sam Ath, wife of H.E. Thun Vathana, Second Vice‑President of the Senate, through her representative Mr Lon Chanthu.
These parcels include 20 boxes of Appetine Senior flavoured with Prahok and 28 boxes of fermented ginger, to be distributed to frontline fighters and refugees.
On this occasion, Ms Say Sam Ath, in return, donated 2,000 dollars to the Kinal Foundation to finance the purchase of additional raw materials for the Confirel‑PPM volunteer team, mobilized every weekend to produce these parcels.
The Foundation notes that Ms Say Sam Ath and her family have already twice taken part, on a voluntary basis, in the production of Appetine Senior cakes in Confirel’s workshops, an involvement greeted with “deep gratitude” by the organization.
